If America’s interests in Iraq hurt, we will not leave Iran
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has warned Iran that Washington will respond to Iran if it harms the interests of the United States and their allies in Iraq. He added that in the event that they or their partners were harmed, Iran would be aware that they would somehow abandon it. Pompeo has also blamed Iran for the escalating war in the region and threatened to end it if the country does not engage in terrorist activities in the region. Pompeo made that statement after rockets fired at a government building in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, on Monday and wounded five Iraqi soldiers, two of whom are in critical condition. Another rocket was also attacked last Wednesday, but no casualties were reported.
