Russia hosting the Tripartite meeting for the Afghan Peace

Zalmay Khalilzad, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan’s Peace, will represent the US delegation in Moscow.

The Russian embassy in Kabul, in a newsletter, said about a two-day summit is scheduled to take place in Moscow for a peace summit on Afghanistan.

The second-largest tripartite meeting between Russia, China and the United States on Afghanistan at the level of Special Representatives is scheduled to take place on April 25 in Moscow on Thursday.

The newsletter adds that Kabulov will be representing Russia at the meeting, discussing the process of talks between the US delegation and the Taliban in Doha, as well as the prospects for the start of the national reconciliation process in Afghanistan.

Russia says it is in favor of coordinating Washington’s efforts with Moscow’s efforts to bring peace to Afghanistan in order to reflect the interests of the regional governments and neighbors of Afghanistan in peace talks, according to Moscow.
