The Afghan Supreme Court has authorized President Ashraf Ghani to stay longer in power.

Members of the Supreme Court extended President Ghani’s stay in the Afghan Presidential Palace until the appointment of a new president.

 

The documents that arrived to Aryana News show that members of the Supreme Court signed the legislative tools to allow President Ghani continue to lead the country until the presidential election and the appointment of a new president.

According to the Afghan Constitution, Mr Ghani’s term will end on the 22nd of May 2019.
